Slideshow and screensaver
When the booth sits idle for a while, it can show the pictures taken so far. That is also the best advertisement it has: whoever sees other people's pictures joins the queue.
Screensaver#
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enable screensaver | The master switch |
| Start after inactivity | In seconds; 0 switches it off |
| Display type | Slideshow of the pictures, or a stored video |
| Also start on other screens | Otherwise it only starts on the start screen |
A tap on the screen ends it.
Slideshow#
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Display duration per picture | In seconds |
| Order | Newest first, random and so on |
| Maximum number of pictures | 0 shows all |
| Transition effect | How one picture turns into the next |
| Text overlay | Optional notice over the slideshow, with its own label for the exit button |
Video instead of pictures#
A video (MP4 or WebM) plays silently in an endless loop. With a different aspect ratio you can choose whether it fills the screen and gets cropped, or appears with black bars.
Useful for sponsor clips, wedding films or the operator's own advertising — anywhere the guests' pictures should not be on public display.
Second screen#
For a second monitor, open the address http://localhost:8000/slideshow in a separate browser or kiosk window on that screen. The slideshow runs there permanently, regardless of what guests are doing at the booth.
