Capture flow
The menu item "Capture flow" lists the chain from the start button to the last capture — in the order the guest experiences it. Everything in this chapter belongs to the event and travels with an event switch.
Info screen before the first capture#
An overlay on the live image just before things start — "Smile and look at the camera!". You can set the text, a timer and whether the "Start now" and "Cancel" buttons are visible. With the buttons hidden, only the timer moves things on; the duration then has to be at least one second.
Info screen before further captures#
The same between the captures of a multi-shot layout. Here a separate text can be stored per capture: the first text appears before the second capture, the second before the third and so on.
If the layout has more captures than there are texts, either the last text keeps showing or the list repeats from the start.
Countdowns#
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Countdown before capture | Duration in seconds; 0 hides the display |
| Position | Where the number appears over the live image |
| Design | The look of the display, with a preview |
| Sound | Countdown sound, selectable and playable; with "Own sound" an own file is uploaded right below |
Three seconds is a good starting value: enough to get sorted, short enough not to lose the smile.
Interstitial clips#
An interstitial clip is a short video with sound that slides into the flow: it plays full screen and continues on its own afterwards. Four places are available - after the start screen, before the first shot, before further shots and after the last shot.
The clip after the start screen plays immediately on the start - whether by start button, by tapping the screen or via the buzzer. Business hours, limits and a due payment are checked first: if the start is refused, no clip plays either.
For the further shots several clips can be created: the first plays before the second picture, the second before the third and so on. Without an entry the flow continues without a clip at that place.
For each clip it can be set whether it plays at all, whether a tap may skip it, how loud it is and after which maximum duration the flow continues at the latest. A sponsor clip runs through without skipping; an instruction may be cut short.
Picture preview and retakes#
Shows the picture just taken for a moment after each capture.
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Display duration | In seconds; 0 means it stays until the guest confirms |
| Also for single-image layouts | With it off, the preview only appears for multi-shot layouts |
| Offer retake | Guests may repeat a failed picture |
| Maximum retakes | 0 means unlimited |
Cancel session#
Whether guests may cancel a running session and how the cancel looks: as a button in the row below the picture or as a round "X" in the top right corner.
With cancelling off, guests can no longer leave info screens, countdown, picture preview and processing on their own - the booth runs the sequence to its end.
