Known Bugs & Roadmap

Found in the admin area at the very bottom of the sidebar, between "System actions" and "Manual".

The area answers two questions that would otherwise need an e-mail: is this behaviour already known? And is the missing feature planned?

The two lists#

At the top are the known bugs that will be fixed with one of the next updates. Below them are the planned features and improvements. Every entry carries a badge showing its state — from "Reported" through "In progress" to "Fixed".

Only entries that affect the installed version are shown. A bug that only occurs in a newer version stays hidden, and so does one that was fixed long before the installed version. Both can be shown with the switch above the list.

Without an internet connection#

The list is fetched from the website and stored after every successful request. If the photo booth has no network — the normal case on the event day — the most recently loaded state appears together with the date it was fetched. Only if the photo booth has never managed to load a list does the area stay empty.

At the bottom it always says when the list was last maintained and when it was last loaded. A button next to it fetches it again.

Sending in reports#

Bugs, suggestions for improvements and wishes for new features go to hello@rawcapturebooth.app by e-mail. The area offers three ways to get there, because a photo booth computer rarely has a mail program set up:

  • the address as text to copy by hand
  • a button that puts it on the clipboard
  • a QR code that opens the mail on a phone — the installed version is already in the text

Helpful in a report are the installed version, the camera model and a description of what led to the behaviour. For bugs that can be repeated, the sequence of steps is the most valuable part.

Reports do not appear in the lists by themselves: they are read, checked and only then taken up.
