Found in the admin area as the second entry of the sidebar, directly below "Favorites".

The area shows the ten latest posts about RAWCaptureBooth: what an update brings, experience with cameras and printers, tips for the event day. Reading happens entirely in the admin area — no browser opens, and no post leads out of the software.

The dot on the menu entry#

If a post has been added since the last visit, a dot in the accent colour pulses on the menu entry. It disappears as soon as the area has been opened and only returns with the next new post. The new posts themselves carry the "New" badge until the next reload.

After installation and after an update, all posts published up to then count as read. The dot therefore only appears when there really is something new.

Without an internet connection#

Posts are stored on the photo booth after every successful fetch. Without a network, the last loaded state is shown together with its date. Images in a post need a connection; without one, the text stays fully readable.

Polls#

Some posts end with a question and several answers. A click on an answer is the vote — there is no second confirmation. The chosen answer is then marked, and the poll cannot be answered again.

Taking part is voluntary and anonymous. Only the chosen answer and the installed version are sent, no device, customer or licence data. So that a photo booth does not vote twice, it gives itself a random ID that reveals nothing about it.

Without internet, the vote does not arrive. The software reports this and records nothing — the poll stays open and can be answered later. A poll that has ended remains visible but no longer accepts votes.
