Where the pictures are#
All pictures belong to an event and live in its folder:

The routes a picture can take#

Each of these routes can be switched off per event. Whatever is pending because there is no network is collected by the outbox and sent later.
Privacy by default#
"Data Processing" > "Privacy by default" deletes the session data immediately after every session. When switching it on, the software asks whether e-mail, cloud upload, gallery, QR codes and the live folder export should be switched off as well.
The setting suits occasions where nothing should remain: company parties with strict rules, events in public authorities, trade fair appearances with data protection requirements.
Handing pictures over#
"Data Processing" > "Export event pictures" writes the pictures of the loaded event into a target folder. You choose what comes along:
- Pictures with layout
- Unprocessed individual captures
- Processed individual captures
- Animations (GIF and boomerang)
The target folder receives the subfolders "layout pictures", "raw pictures", "processed pictures" and "animations". Pictures of other events are untouched.
To pass on or back up a whole event including its settings, the export as an event package is the better route, see Managing events.
Deleting pictures#
"Data Processing" > "Delete event pictures" permanently removes all sessions, outputs and individual captures of the loaded event. Other events are untouched.
Alternatively, when deleting a whole event you can decide whether the pictures go with it.
What the operator should tell guests#
The software brings its own screens for that, configured per event:
- Usage and privacy notices — a notice screen before the first capture.
- Custom HTML page — for text you word yourself, such as a consent statement.
What it says is up to the operator and depends on the event and the legal situation. The software does not force any wording.
