Capture modes, layouts and filters
Capture modes and layout assignment#
This is where you define what guests can see and choose during a session. There are three modes, each with the same structure.
| Mode | Particularity |
|---|---|
| Photo | Always active |
| GIF | Several stills become an animation. Optionally repeated as a boomerang |
| Boomerang | Capture that plays forwards and backwards |
Per mode you set:
- Available layouts — at least one, otherwise the mode cannot be enabled.
- Allow guests to choose the layout — with it off, the default layout is always used.
- Default layout — applies when guests may not choose; "automatic selection" leaves it to the software.
For GIF and boomerang there is more: number of frames, interval between frames, loops and whether printing is allowed.
Layout editor#
Layouts are built in the layout editor — image slots, frames, texts, graphics, backgrounds. It has a chapter of its own; here only the assignment of layouts to modes is set.
Layouts belong to the event. A preset brings its own, and a copy of an event takes over its layouts.
Filter selection#
"Enable filter overview" shows a choice of looks after the capture — black and white, comic or a warm vintage look for example. Tick which filters are on offer.
How a filter looks is shown using the photo from Appearance > "Preview images".
Decorate picture#
Lets guests draw on the finished picture and add stickers before sharing or printing.
| Area | Settings |
|---|---|
| Display & flow | Whether the feature is active and whether guests are asked first |
| Tools | Stickers, drawing, eraser, text, text colour, font selection — each can be enabled separately |
| Defaults | Brush colour and brush size when opening |
Custom stickers can be uploaded; they appear in the sidebar before the built-in ones.
