Buttons at the top
On every screen the buttons sit right below the heading instead of at the bottom.
Software
A photo mirror is an upright screen, usually behind a mirror front, with a rotated camera above it. Guests see themselves life-size and operate everything right on the screen. A single setting makes the difference to a photo booth.
The design is chosen in the setup assistant on first start and can be changed at any time. It belongs to the device, not to the event: an event created on a photo booth runs on the mirror without changes.
At a mirror the bottom edge of the screen is at knee height. The interface therefore rearranges itself, without any further switches.
On every screen the buttons sit right below the heading instead of at the bottom.
Live view and finished picture sit at the top, so guests do not look past the camera in the photo.
Messages about printing, email and upload appear at the bottom and cover neither buttons nor live view.
The on-screen keyboard stays easy to use, and a glow that would show through the glass is left out.
Portrait layouts fill live view and finished picture at the mirror much better than landscape ones. The countdown works best at the top centre, right below the camera.
