Capture modes and flow

From the first tap to the finished picture, every session follows a fixed flow that you can adjust freely. Photo, GIF and boomerang each have their own layouts and settings.

Photo, GIF and boomerang

Guests choose the mode on screen, or the event sets it.

  • Photo: one or more pictures in the layout, always available.
  • GIF: a photo series with pauses to change poses, at full resolution, forwards or back and forth.
  • Boomerang: a short clip from the live view, played forwards and backwards, even with a simple webcam.
  • Optional: AI portrait and photo challenge as modes of their own.

Animations for phones and Instagram

GIF and boomerang are created in the format that suits the way the images travel.

GIF

Plays everywhere, including email attachments and older devices. The file is the largest.

WebP

Smallest file with better colours. Older email programs do not animate it.

MP4 video

For Instagram, which does not accept GIF uploads. Clips that are too short are extended to fit.

Layouts per mode

Each mode gets its own layouts from the layout editor. How the layout is chosen is set per event:

  • Guest chooses from the released layouts, in a fixed order.
  • Fixed layout without a selection screen, when the event has just one design.
  • In turn or random, also without selection, never the same twice in a row.

  4. ReviewThe photo appears briefly; guests can adjust the crop or retake it if you allow it.
  5. Pick the bestA short series per photo slot, then the guest taps the best shot.
  6. End screenPrint, share or get it on the phone via QR code.
