For guests

Photo mosaic: one shared picture from many photos

Up close it is the guests' photos, from a distance one shared motif: the couple, a logo or a lettering. The fuller the board, the clearer the picture.

How the mosaic comes together

  1. PhotoGuests take photos as usual.
  2. TileThe booth prints the photo with its piece of the motif semi-transparent on top and the field's coordinate, such as "F12".
  3. BoardThe guest sticks the tile on its field of the prepared board with a grid.
Field by field the motif appears.

Printed or digital only

Printed

Every guest gets a tile and sticks it on the board. Tiles come from the photo printer or a separate label printer.

Digital only

The mosaic grows only on screen, without printer or board. Fits when the mosaic is wanted but the board is not.

The board

The print template is made in the software: motif faintly in the background, coordinates, grid lines, border with title and bleed for the print shop.

For the guests

Choose the crop

If the photo does not fit the tile exactly, the guest chooses the crop.

Join in or not

Every photo goes into the mosaic, or guests may decline.

View the mosaic

Via its own button next to the gallery, on a tablet, on an extra screen and in the slideshow.

Tiles flying in

On the extra screen every new tile flies large into the centre and from there onto its field.

The mosaic on screen

With the “Mosaic” button next to “Gallery”, guests watch the picture grow. New photos fly to their field.

  • Tap a field to see its tile
  • Also on a second screen, a tablet and in the slideshow
  • Lost tile: each field can be reprinted once

At the end

If fields remain empty, the booth fills them with matching guest photos or just the motif and prints the remaining tiles. Two identical photos never sit next to each other. At the end you get the finished picture and the whole mosaic as a ZIP file to pass on: opened in a browser, it can be zoomed and viewed tile by tile, even offline.
