AI portraits: the photo in a new style

The photo booth redraws the guest's picture in a chosen style, as a comic, an oil painting or an astronaut. Over 220 styles in thirteen groups are included, and you can add your own.

Pick a group, tap a style and drag the slider. Every style comes with its own sample image, so guests see what to expect while choosing. “Surprise me” lets the booth draw a style at random.

The person shown is not real but generated with AI. In the software, the sample images can also be created from your own photo. How long a portrait takes and what it costs is explained above under AI portraits: fast or with more detail.

Fast or with more detail

Different AI models are available. It comes down to what matters more at the event: a short wait or a picture with more detail. Both cost around 4 cents per image at the image model provider (as of October 2026).

AI portrait in superhero style, fast AI model — **Fast** – around 10 to 12 seconds, slightly less detail and likeness.

How it works at the booth

Extra step or own mode

Style selection appears in the photo flow, and guests who want no style skip it. Or "AI portrait" gets its own tile next to photo, GIF and boomerang.

Sample per style

Every style shows what to expect right in the selection. "Surprise me" picks a style at random.

Questions to the guest

A custom style can ask up to three questions, such as the colour of a jersey. Guests can also add a free wish.

Beauty styles

They enhance the portrait and leave background and clothing unchanged.

Costs, limits and labelling

The images are not computed on the booth but by an online service: Replicate or fal.ai. This needs an account with one of them, and the photos leave your own network.

Costs visible

The software shows the cost per portrait. Counters and limits can be set per event, with an email notice.

Your own styles

Create your own styles, save them and use them in other events, also via the device library.

Styles chosen by the customer

The host can pick the styles for their event in advance.

Labelling

Photorealistic styles are labelled as AI images by default, as the EU AI Act requires. The default can be changed.
